Cooling
A key step in liquid treatment is the use of heat exchangers to cool the water. Cooling makes phase separation easier. In certain situations, contaminants will drop out of solution. For this reason, a cooling step is almost always included as part of the treatment train.
Best Environmental has experience with both plate and frame and shell and tube style heat exchangers. Often, plate and frame units are preferred due to their compactness and high heat transfer coefficients. At times the use of an equivalent shell and tube unit is justifiable. No matter which style exchanger is deployed, Best Environmental has the ability to custom design the equipment so that it is optimized for its intended service, resulting in more robust liquid treatment.
